The countdown has begun to my first trip to Corinth – although I seem to recall that I visited the Peloponnese during my early childhood. In my childlike distracted excitement, I focused mainly on the promise of a dip in the warm beaches, oblivious to the revelations being unearthed by archaeologists, shining light on the roman imperial city. In this visit I hope to apply what I have learned about the Pauline mission at Corinth, to geographical, political and archaeological discoveries about the first century Corinths.
My five day visit will fly by and in this short time I hope to drive from Athens to Corinth and a little beyond, visiting key sites (shout out to Enterprise car hire for this one). In the run up to my trip I will be heavily researching and squatting up on all the literature I can find to help me on my quest. I will share with you some of my findings in my research and how that will bring focus my trip. Feel free to share my blog on Facebook and Twitter!
